One who seeks inspiration in teaching

Dear ITS fellows,

My name is Siraphat Taesuwan, but please call me Fay. I have been teaching at the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, for 2.5 years now. I certainly do not have a lot of teaching experiences and still need to improve myself. My courses range from graduate courses with a few students to a General Education course with 120+ students per section.

As to be expected for a new faculty member, I have been swamped by other responsibilities beside teaching, and at times the improve my teaching on my to-do list has been deprioritized. So I applied for the ITS program hoping that it would rekindle my passion in teaching. Turns out that the first part of the program did just that.

In the second part I am looking forward to connect more with other ITS fellows, to learn and to get inspired by stories and techniques we will share together. I hope that by participating in this program, I will be constantly reminded of the core value of an educator — teaching.

Best,

Fay
